100 Public Art Works

Reimagining Toledo Through Public Art

Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful and River Gallery Studio are joining forces to expand opportunities for public art in Northwest Ohio. Together, we’re transforming everyday spaces into vibrant, meaningful places where art brings people together.

Public art has the power to shape how we experience our city, turning walls into stories, neighborhoods into destinations, and shared spaces into points of pride.

Why Public Art Matters

Here, creativity meets opportunity. Whatever you're building, we're here to help you take the first step with confidence. Driven by curiosity and built on purpose, this is where bold thinking meets thoughtful execution. Let’s create something meaningful together.

  • Public art helps our community by:

    • Enhancing the beauty and character of neighborhoods

    • Celebrating local culture, history, and shared stories

    • Creating opportunities for artists to work and lead

    • Supporting economic growth through creative jobs and tourism

    • Fostering community pride and a stronger sense of place

    Our Goal:
Through the 100 Public Art Works initiative, our goal is to create 100 works of public art across Toledo and Lucas County. Together, Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful and River Gallery Studio are reimagining public spaces as an open-air gallery, where art inspires connection, stewardship, and long-term impact.

  • This project is built on collaboration. There are many ways to be part of bringing public art to Northwest Ohio.

    You can get involved by:

    • Nominating a wall or public space for a future mural

    • Partnering as a neighborhood, business, or organization

    • Supporting local artists through sponsorships

    • Sharing the project and helping amplify public art across the region

Whether you’re an artist, resident, business owner, or community leader, your involvement helps ensure these works reflect the people and places they serve.

  • Sponsorship makes public art possible. By supporting 100 Public Art Works, sponsors directly invest in creativity, community, and place-based storytelling.

    Sponsorship opportunities may include:

    • Funding individual murals or multiple installations

    • Supporting artist fees, materials, and project management

    • Helping activate underutilized spaces across Toledo and Lucas County

    • Aligning your organization with visible, lasting community impact

    Sponsors receive meaningful recognition through:

    • On-site acknowledgment at mural locations

    • Digital and promotional visibility

    • Association with a respected, community-driven public art initiative

Sponsorships are customizable to align with your organization’s goals while creating a permanent, positive contribution to the community.
